A new blog is alive. :-)

April 23rd, 2010

So, after four hours of installing, changing and editing found an appropriate theme for the blog.  :-) Probably it still miss some features but I’ll take care of them later.

In conclusion a new blog is alive. And because is polite to present yourself and your ideas in the beginning I’ll start describing now.

About itsol, it’s not much to be said. :-) Itsol are the people that really hope to offer you some nice open projects free of ads or banners.

Some while ago I was implied in lot of big projects but only for the companies I worked. One of my dreams at that time was about… a web project. Because of lot of reasons project died and years passed. This winter I decided that I want to see this project alive so I’ll do it by my own.

I’ll not say to you what is the project but I hope that in the final it will be a pleasant surprise. But because you can not start a project without having feedback and without facing real problems we decided to start first with a smaller project. And that is owall.net.

I think the best description of the website is the one that you can read it in the meta name description of the site:

OWall.net hope to be your source of high definition wallpapers made for normal, wide and dual monitors. You will never find ads or banners here. All wallpapers made or uploaded by you will keep in the watermark your merits and will link to your site. Please help us contributing with wallpapers, ideas, suggestions, bug reports or feature requests”

More then that, owall.net hope to make you see it as a fair, a simple and friendly website. The way that all websites should be, in my opinion. I think that a website should show respect to his visitors. A website should be open to his visitors and gain their trust by working hard to improve and by not annoying anyone with ads or banners.

I’ll try describe in the posts the challenge, the work, the problems… and pretty much everything about our open projects.

Those being said I think I must go back to work hoping to end soon the final version 0.2. :-)

Cheers!
